The organization will notice an immediate impact in a variety of ways as their network administration moves towards an automated CI/CD NDLC pipeline. The agility gained in detecting or troubleshooting problems on the network, the speed and precision found in making changes or developing features and solutions and removing the network as the bottleneck in the business process, cannot be fully quantified.

While there will always be risks involved in operating a network enterprise, particularly when making changes, automating these solutions adds no more inherent risk and, in fact, it reduces or eliminates most of the manual errors involved in making changes to the network. The mix of using off the shelf, appliance or software based, NMS, and manual CLI has never done the enterprise network justice however there was, previously, no better way of doing it. The dawn of a new age in modern network administration and management has arrived in the form of network automation. Soon there will be no other way to design or operate an enterprise network. A clear competitive advantage is found in enterprises that have embraced and maximized the potential of network automation using an NDLC.
