Part II of this book is designed as a practical step-by-step guide that can be followed to automate a network. First configure and understand the base repository file and folder structure. Invest time creating a foundation and folder structure that is logically organized and scalable based on the examples provided in Chapter 5. Once the repository is ready, network reconnaissance can be performed following the examples provided in Chapter 6. Begin using the real-world examples of tactical plays that can be used to make changes to the network starting in Chapter 7. Following the tactical changes, Chapter 8 illustrates how to create data models and dynamic templates. These artifacts are used to further evolve into a fully automated network documentation system in Chapter 9. Chapter 10 uses the data models and dynamic templates to provide a fully automated configuration management system. Chapter 11 explains the CI/CD pipeline to wrap things up.
